Freelance Associate Producer Part-time Job

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for researching and writing questions for the Spectrum News Challenge.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Research and write between 15 - 20 questions (true/false, fill in the blank and multiple choice) per day from a pre-approved list of topics.

Verify questions for accuracy and to make sure they are restricted to only one correct response

Work with researchers and other producers to reword questions that are problematic, or to make sure a new question is found that works
Works in computerized newsroom environment. Some work days can/will be remote.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Demonstrated broadcast news writing ability
Ability to anticipate situations and meet strict deadlines
